Waterfalls can provide a very attractive alternative to aeration fountains for larger pond and lakes. Not only does the waterfall provide aeration, but vegetation and bacteria growing in the margins of the stream act as a biofilter to remove the nutrients that cause algae blooms.

The falls pictured below are under construction with test runs of 500 gallons per minute of flow being completed on a moderate size waterfall and stream with 35 feet of drop over 130 feet of length.
